George Kakoulidis is the CEO of Apollo SA (apollo.gr), a healthcare IT relative company with many years of HL7 consulting and implementation experience. Information systems in healthcare aim at designing a modern and functional medical record, monitoring the administrative and financial parameters so that the proper operational decisions are made in the healthcare sector, and also aim at the interoperability of those systems.
He has been designing and participating in both national and private technological development business plans in the fields of Healthcare and Social Security for more than fifteen years. His latest professional development features the Open Health Alliance initiative (ohanet.gr), an organization that offers specialized Health Oriented Services (both for Medical Practice and relevant consultancy) to hundreds of Doctors nationwide. George holds the position of Advisor to the Board.
Open Health Alliance (OHA, www.ohanet.gr) is a non for profit professional co-operative organization for Doctors, Health Care Providers (HCPs) and Patients that follows the operational paradigm of a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). OHA’s portfolio features a set of designated doctors and health care facilities and offers a highly competitive array of health care services to large organizations / companies and other Health Oriented Networks. Following a B2B and B2C model approach OHA aspires to attain HMO status within the first five years of operations.
George Kakoulidis is a founding member of HHIA (Hellenic Health Informatics Association) espy.org.gr and holds the position of chairman.
He is also a founding member of HL7 Hellas (www.hl7.org.gr), vice chairman for many years, general director and now is a member of the board.
